In December 2011, KeiVarae Russell traded in his childhood dream of suiting up for Southern California for a new one of playing for Notre Dame. One year later, Russell, a freshman cornerback, can realize the biggest dream of all: a national championship.
“It still hasn’t registered that I will be in the national title game. I’m not even going to lie,” Russell said. “The fact that I am starting in the national championship game is insane. I can’t even wrap my mind around it. It’s a blessing.”
