Steven Corcelli, associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, has been selected as a member of the 2016 Fellows of the American Chemical Society. The American Chemical Society (ACS) announced the news today in Chemical & Engineering News.
Corcelli was recognized for his contributions to science and to the ACS community. He developed theoretical approaches to understanding dynamics, spectroscopy, and reactivity in the condensed-phase and at biomolecular interfaces. He also served as chair of the biophysical subdivision of the division of physical chemistry, the chair of the graduate education advisory board, and as the organizer of several national symposia.
