The Murdy Organ Installation in 130 Seconds

Shortly after lunchtime on the 12th day of its installation, the Murdy Family Organ received yet another distinguished visitor, one more person in the quiet parade of stakeholders and spectators who wanted their own sneak peek at the campus’ celebrated newcomer without disturbing the delicate maneuvering and breakneck pace of its final construction.

That afternoon, for the first time since its piecemeal arrival inside Notre Dame’s Basilica of the Sacred Heart on July 31, the instrument was presentable.
