After four days of competition at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships, a pair of University of Notre Dame women's tennis student athletes remain in contention in singles and doubles.
Senior Monica Robinson and junior Brooke Broda advanced to the doubles title match, defeating DePaul's Yulia Shupenia and Aspasia Avgeri, 8-7(6), in the quarterfinal before upending second-seeded and fourth-ranked Brienne Minor and Mira Ruder-Hook, 8-5, in the semifinal.
Robinson also advanced to the singles quarterfinals after picking up a 6-3. 7-5 victory over Ohio State's Ferny Angeles Paz.
Broda and classmate Allison Miller both fell in the singles Round of 16. It was just the third singles loss of Broda's career and first since March 24.
