Classic Auto Snite Feature

If you’ve never considered antique cars fine art, a current exhibit at the Snite Museum of Art may change your mind.

With their shiny chrome, gleaming lacquer finishes and elegant hood ornaments, the vehicles represent their era as well as any painting, film or other more traditional form of artistic expression.

Four cars are on display in the exhibit “Roaring Twenties Exuberance and Depression Era Extravagance,” all from the auto collection of Jack B. Smith, Jr., an Elkhart County businessman and classic car enthusiast.
