Please join Campus Ministry as we celebrate the Feast Day of Congregation of Holy Cross founder, Bl. Basil Moreau. Born in Le Mans, France on Feb. 11, 1799, Moreau died on Jan. 20, 1873 after founding the congregation in 1837. In his lifetime, Moreau not only developed the basic principles that characterize the Holy Cross education we know today, he also selected Fr. Edward Sorin, C.S.C., to establish the congregation in the United States and form the University of Notre Dame.
