The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team wrapped up its first weekend of competition Sunday, posting a 6-5 record in one round of singles on the final day of the Wildcat Invitational at Northwestern.
No. 112 Brooke Broda finalized an undefeated weekend, defeating Pittsburgh’s Amber Washington 7-5, 6-3. Broda is in the midst of a 14-match winning streak dating back to last season.
Senior and 63rd-rankedd Monica Robinson also won Sunday, defeating DePaul’s Aspasia Avgeri 6-1, 6-1. Robinson went 2-1 on the weekend.
Freshmen Bess Waldram and Zoe Spence, sophomore Rachel Chong and senior Jane Fennelly also won Sunday.
