The Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States has selected MurphyKate Montee as a Churchill Scholar for the academic year 2013-2014.
As one of 14 students in the United States selected for the scholarship this year, Montee is only the second student from Notre Dame to receive this prestigious award. The Churchill Scholarship will cover the majority of her expenses at Cambridge, including tuition and fees, a living allowance, and transportation to and from the United Kingdom.
Montee will use the scholarship to study at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom for her Master of Advanced Studies (Part III) in Theoretical Mathematics with a focus on geometry and topology.
