The Congregation of Holy Cross, United States Province of Priests and Brothers, will celebrate the lives and ministries of 22 of their confreres who have reached milestone anniversaries.
The Jubilee Celebration will begin with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 4 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The Mass is open to the public.
Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., President Emeritus of the University of Notre Dame and a principal proponent of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, is currently the oldest and longest-serving priest in the Province. He will be celebrating his 70th anniversary of Ordination.
