The (RV) Notre Dame men’s golf team shot a 289 (+3) on Tuesday to hold onto third place at the AutoTrader Collegiate Classic, hosted by Georgia Southern at the Berkeley Hills Country Club. It marked the third top-five finish for the Irish this fall.

Individually, junior Miguel Delgado notched his lowest career finish with a second-place showing. Delgado shot a 70 (-2) in the final round, thus completing a 54-hole tournament in which he shot under-par for all three rounds.

All-in-all, Delgado carded a 209 (-7), trailing leader Steven Fisk of Georgia Southern by six strokes by tournament’s end.

Stats of the Day
Delgado’s seven-under par marked a career best and tied for the fourth best 54-hole score in program history. In addition, Delgado tallied the second most birdies of the entire field with 15.
