Alumni Family Volunteer Camp

Notre Dame Alumni Association | Aug. 8, 2013 | University of Notre Dame

Since 1996, the Notre Dame Alumni Association has been welcoming alumni and their families back to campus with a focus towards serving the local community. Families live in a dorm for a week and go out each day to serve the poor, lonely, and marginalized of St. Joseph County. This year, we doubled our efforts by offering two weeks of camp.

During the first week we welcomed 25 families, and during the second week 22 families participated for a total of 167 people for two weeks. Sixteen non-profits were served. We also marked another first by incorporating five Student Leaders into each week. Current ND/SMC students, the student leaders played a significant role in the day-to-day operation of the Camp.
