The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team will make its 24th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship, earning a No. 2 seed Monday when the field of 64 was announced by the Division I Women’s Soccer Committee.
The No. 6 Irish (13-3-4), who won a share of the regular-season Atlantic Coast Conference title, will host Ohio Valley Conference Champion SIU-Edwardsville (10-7-4) at 7 p.m. ET Friday at Alumni Stadium. Notre Dame would also host second- and third-round matches should the Irish advance. On the other side of the region bracket is No. 3 seed Duke, which finished third in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season.
