For the past decade, national championship talk at Notre Dame has started and stopped with a basketball dynamo and her iconic pumps.  And it looks like that title talk will continue for at least until 2022.

Notre Dame head women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw signed a 10-year contract extension Monday, ND Athletics Director Jack Swarbrick announced, giving the Hall-of-Fame coach a chance to engineer a few more runs at the national title.

McGraw has a sterling 591 wins at the helm of her Irish, including a remarkable national championship victory in 2001 that earned her a consensus National Coach of the Year Award.  Led by spectacular All-American guard Skylar Diggins and WNBA draftees Devereaux Peters and Brittany Mallory, McGraw's Irish won dramatic Final Four victories in 2010 and 2011 before bowing out in the finals.

McGraw's contract extension follows a 10-year contract extension for men's basketball coach Mike Brey, who signed his on June 18.
