Mission Work in St. Lucia

Editor's Note: University of Notre Dame men’s tennis rising junior Dougie Barnard (’15) has spent his summer doing mission work all around the world. His first trip was to St. Lucia, where he teamed with 15 others to organize soccer camps and to talk about the importance of their Catholic faith.

Dougie BarnardOur group of 17 (13 student-athletes and four missionaries, who are no longer students or athletes) stayed at the beautiful convent of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother in Vieux Fort.
