ND Launches New "Innovation Challenge"

Notre Dame students and faculty will be collaborating with Schurz Communications, a South Bend media company, to develop new media solutions and opportunities, the South Bend Tribune reported Monday.

Schurz Communications, which owns the Tribune and South Bend's WSBT-TV and Radio, is already a senior corporate partner with Notre Dame's College of Engineering.  The "innovation challenge" will provide $25,000 for two years so undergraduates, graduate students and faculty can develop projects and compete for local, statewide, and national media recognition.  Researchers will have access to Schurz's media resources, including datasets, to help complete their work.
