Pamela Robertson Wojcik, Professor in the Department of Film, TV and Theatre and current Director of the Gender Studies Program has been elected President of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies.

She will serve as President Elect for two years (beginning July 1) before becoming President for another two-year term, then Past President for a final two-year term.

The Society for Cinema and Media Studies is the leading scholarly organization in the United States dedicated to promoting a broad understanding of film, television, and related media through research and teaching grounded in the contemporary humanities tradition.
