Road to Discovery: Day 34

Dean Greg Crawford enters Washington DC

Well, I’m almost there. The ride from Fredericksburg through D.C. into Silver Spring was wet, chilly, and overall sloppy, with continuous rain. Any other day, it would have seemed like a struggle but since it was the next to yesterday, I did not mind too much. I am just excited to be wrapping up the ride soon and seeing the families and children with NPC at the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation’s 21st Annual Family Support and Medical Conference in Baltimore.  There was one incident today – we got pulled over by a police officer in Stafford, Va. He was interested in what we were doing and why we were going so slowly. I thought I was going pretty fast on my bike. After a little bit of back and forth, we finally did get him to sign the van. Also, Renate surprised me by showing up at the hotel for the last leg of the trip!
