Zain Syed Mosquito Research Feature

The muggy summer mosquito season has arrived in Michiana, and that means residents can prepare themselves for some unwanted insect visitors when they step outdoors.

Mosquitoes seem to have an uncanny ability to locate and feed on humans, and Zainulabeuddin "Zain" Syed, a University of Notre Dame biology professor and widely known mosquito expert, has found that this has everything to do with the way humans smell.
