Supplies for Overseas Troops

For the fourth consecutive year, the Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg conducted a project to support the Blue Star Mothers of South Central Pennsylvania's effort to provide new clothing items for our wounded service men and women. Each year the group sends clothing items to Landstuhl Hospital in Germany, the location where all wounded personnel are sent from the Middle East.

It is not a widely-known fact that our military does not provide toiletry articles and personal clothes for our service personnel, even in this environment. They are dependent on their family or supporting organizations to help them. The Blue Star Mothers have been providing clothes for a number of years, with the Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg initiating a project to help four years ago.
