NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Three Notre Dame women's lacrosse players, Alex Dalton, Cortney Fortunato and Caitlin Gargan, were named to the All-ACC Academic Women's Lacrosse team on Monday.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career. The ACC office staff then factors in athletic accomplishments before determining a 30-member team.

Dalton was a IWLCA all-region pick along with making ILWomen's national all-rookie team after a freshman season where she started all 19 games and finished with 38 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers and 22 draw controls while playing a role in one of the country's best defenses.
