Undergraduate tuition and fees at the University of Notre Dame will increase 3.7 percent for the 2016-17 academic year to $49,685. Average room and board rates of $14,358 will bring total student charges to $64,043.
The percentage increase matches that of last year and is the lowest at Notre Dame in more than a half century.
In a letter to parents and guardians of students returning for the next academic year, Notre Dame’s president, Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., wrote that while “the education offered by universities like ours is expensive, economists agree that it is one of the best investments you can make in a young person, and that is particularly so for a Notre Dame education.”
