University of Notre Dame rower Anna Kottkamp completed her stellar junior season in the classroom by being named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the ACC announced on Tuesday. Kottkamp was one of 11 Irish rowers who each received all-ACC academic recognition following Notre Dame’s first season competing in the conference in 2013-14.

To be eligible for consideration for the all-ACC Rowing Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester, while maintaining a cumulative 3.00 average during her academic career. The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award was established in the fall of 2007 and is annually awarded to the top junior or senior student-athlete in a respective sport who has maintained a cumulative 3.00 or higher grade point average throughout their career.
