Thousands of Irish fans made Chicago a little greener last week as they went to the Windy City for the Shamrock Series game against Miami at Soldier Field. On the day before the game, some Notre Dame alumni did the same for the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
More than 50 Notre Dame alumni helped turn an empty lot next to Saint Ann School into a green space for students and staff to gather. The space used to be home to a rectory for the school, but has been vacant for decades.
