University of Notre Dame junior forward Bonzie Colson has been named a third-team All-American for the 2016-17 season by the Associated Press. Colson averaged 17.8 points per game and 10.1 rebounds a game for the Fighting Irish, who finished the season 26-10 overall and 12-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  Read More

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday that Irish sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Giacolone has been named ACC Defensive Player of the Week following her career performance in the 16-7 win over No. 4 Syracuse on Sunday. 

Giacolone, a preseason All-America honorable mention, collected a season-high 13 saves, equaling her career high. The Manorville, New York, native limited the Orange to just three goals on 10 free position shots. She added four ground balls and one caused turnover in Notre Dame’s 16-7 win. Read More

Two of the players who helped lead the Notre Dame women’s basketball team to a fourth consecutive outright ACC regular season championship, fourth straight ACC Tournament championship and the NCAA’s Elite Eight were recognized for their work on Monday. The University of Notre Dame fencing program clinched its ninth national title on Sunday, capping four days of dominance at the 2017 National Collegiate Fencing Championships at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. 

The Fighting Irish clinched the championship in the fourth round with a 5-1 win by senior Lee Kiefer over Cornell's Lyubov Kiriakidi on the foil strip. Read More
