The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s fencing teams finished the weekend undefeated after two days of competition at their own DeCicco Duals at the Castellan Family Fencing Center.

Both Irish teams went 9-0 and defeated club squads from Clemson, Florida, Purdue, Indiana, McKendree, Michigan, Michigan State and Chicago. Neither team allowed more than five points in any match on Sunday. Read More

The No. 5 University of Notre Dame women's basketball team's offense was powered by 49 combined points from juniors Jessica Shepard and Marina Mabrey as the Irish cruised past Pittsburgh, 87-53. 

The Irish (19-2, 7-1) used a double-double from Jessica Shepard to win their 10th road game of the season tonight at Pitt (9-12, 1-7), as the Nebraska native finished with 28 points and a season high tying 12 rebounds. Read More

The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team won its 15th consecutive dual season opener Tuesday, defeating Western Michigan 7-0 at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

How It Happened

The Irish swept their way to the doubles point to take the early lead. Freshman Ally Bojczuk and junior Rachel Chong started things off with a 6-2 win over Denise Azcui and Jeryn Jack on Court 3, while freshman Cameron Corse and sophomore Zoe Spence clinched the point with a 6-2 win against Barbare Eristavi and Gabriela Slavova at No. 2. Seniors Brooke Broda and Allison Miller also won on Court 1, 6-3 over Melina Lyubomirova and Katja Fevralev. Read More

The Milwaukee native averaged 25.0 points per game in wins over No. 6 Tennessee and Clemson. The weekly conference honor is the first for Ogunbowale this season and marks the second of her career.
