Costabile Named All-American

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Three University of Notre Dame men's lacrosse players earned United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America honors, headlined by first team selection Bryan Costabile.

Brendan Gleason (Sr./A) and Jack Kielty (Jr./D) merited honorable mention accolades.

Costabile earned first team All-America honors for the first time in his career after earning second team honors in his sophomore season.

This marks the 14th consecutive season Notre Dame has produced multiple USILA All-America selections. In 30 seasons under head coach Kevin Corrigan, the Irish have had 47 different players earn 89 All-America citations.

Costabile is coming off the most prolific goal scoring season from a Notre Dame midfielder in program history, setting the record for goals in a season by a midfielder with 42. The junior finished with 48 points and has 103 (89G, 14A) for his career.

The Sykesville, Maryland, native was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year for his remarkable season and has also been honored as an Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American and Tewaaraton Nominee.

Gleason has now been named USILA All-America honorable mention for the second straight season. The senior scored 26 goals and added 12 assists in 2019 for the Irish. The attackman finished his Notre Dame career with 104 points off 72 goals and 38 assists.
