Notre Dame art curator strives to bring "better appreciation" for academic art
Cheryl Snay is bringing France to Georgia.
The curator of European Art at the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame will present a lecture focusing the Royal Academy of France, as part of the Georgia Museum of Art's display "The Epic and the Intimate." The lecture will also highlight pieces from the collection of French drawings, which will be displayed at the museum until November 3.
In an e-mail interview, Snay talked with The Red & Black about her interest in French drawings, the controversies of the Royal Academy of France and some of her favorite pieces in the exhibit.
