A large crowd gathered Friday at the University of Notre Dame for the formal dedication of Jenkins Hall, a new building on Notre Dame Avenue.
The crowd was large even if one only counted members of the Jenkins family.
The Rev. John Jenkins, Notre Dame's president, was joined by more than 80 family members at Friday's ceremony naming the new building in his honor.
The gathering included Jenkins' 11 siblings and their spouses, 43 nephews and nieces, and 28 great nephews and nieces.
Jenkins Hall is the home of Notre Dame's new Keough School of Global Affairs.
