Every Friday in the fall, the nuns at Barry O'Neill's Catholic elementary school in Philadelphia had a tradition.
"Toward the end of the day," O'Neill said, "we'd all say a rosary for Notre Dame's success on the weekend."
Time has passed, but traditions die hard, and when it comes to college football, no school embraces and celebrates its history like Notre Dame. That explains the pack of transplanted Notre Dame fans gathered at Paddy Malone's Pub in Jefferson City on autumn Saturday afternoons. Some 490 miles away from Notre Dame's campus in South Bend, Ind., you'll find up to 40 members of the Notre Dame Club of Central Missouri waking up the echoes for their beloved team.
