Graham Spickett-Jones has been appointed executive director of the University of Notre Dame’s London Global Gateway. Spickett-Jones will serve the University’s faculty and students, and support the broader community of alumni, parents and partners by facilitating programs that help promote understanding, advance knowledge and address issues to serve the common good within a global context. He will assist the academic director’s efforts to create new research collaborations, partnerships and academic initiatives at the London Global Gateway.
Spickett-Jones has a uniquely diverse background, serving in various roles in both commercial and academic institutions, including several leading research-intensive U.K. universities. Most recently, he served as the international director for the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London. He helped to drive international recruitment and build external partnerships for exchange programs.
Besides teaching courses in marketing, Spickett-Jones was also heavily involved with research. He has been published in well-ranked international academic journals and in professional trade journals. He has contributed chapters for textbooks and supported industry partners with thought leadership and consultant work.
“Graham’s business experience in the hospitality industry coupled with his extensive background in higher education, both as an administrator and faculty member, makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the inaugural executive director for the London Global Gateway,” says Warren von Eschenbach, associate vice president and assistant provost for internationalization.
