Little by little, Notre Dame is reopening with safety measures in place to protect people from the coronavirus. The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore on campus is one of those locations. Face coverings are required for everyone entering the store.
“I am thrilled we have reopened the doors of the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, and grateful for the many colleagues who have stepped up to do so in such a safe and inspiring way. The cleaning and distancing protocol are aligned with industry best practices,” says Micki Kidder, vice president for University Enterprises and Events.
“This is one more step toward welcoming our beloved students this fall. The bookstore not only represents a place to find academic course materials and emblematic merchandise; it represents a sense of being, where you walk in and know you are home.”
If you are in need of a face mask, both generic and Notre Dame-licensed masks are available for purchase at the bookstore. The purchase of a licensed mask goes toward a good cause.
