NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Midfielder Molly Cobb and defender Caroline Doyle will be taking part in the Senior All-Star Game next month, the IWLCA announced Friday afternoon. The pair will be the first representatives from the Irish to play in the All-Star game since current assistant coach Margaret Smith played back in 2014.

Cobb was a captain for the Irish in her final season and had the best statistical season of her career. She has started in every game and set career highs in goals, assists, points, ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers. Cobb tallied a career-high four points twice this season, in the home win against Marquette and on the road against fifth-ranked North Carolina.

Doyle earned herself a starting role in her final season with the Irish. She started all but one game this season and set career highs in ground balls and caused turnovers. Doyle and the Irish defense limited opponents to 10 or fewer goals 11 times this season and the Irish were 10-1 in those games. Doyle and the Irish defense were key in the second half comeback against Virginia in the ACC quarterfinals. They limited the Cavaliers to just one second half goal to complete a five-goal come from behind victory.
