GREENSBORO, N.C. — The University of Notre Dame men's swim team concluded their run at the Atlantic Coast Conference championships with a final tally of 687 points for sixth place overall.
The final session of the weekend was highlighted by Joshua Bottelberghe's bronze medal in the 200 breast as he touched the wall in 1:53.90.
Two men represented the Irish in the championship (A) final during the evening session including Bottelberghe and Zach Yeadon in the 1650 free.
The first event of the evening finals featured Yeadon and Sadler McKeen competing for the ACC title in the 1650 free. Yeadon finished fourth overall with a time of 14:44.55 while McKeen posted a final time of 15:18.17.
Swimming for a second time Saturday, four members of the team competed in the 200 back finals which saw Jack Montesi lead the way with his 11th place finish, touching the wall in 1:43.26. Will Cumberland also competed in the consolation heat, finishing 13th with a time of 1:44.27. Joseph Turk (18th, 1:44.40) and Nick Milikich (23rd, 1:47.00) also qualified for the finals during the prelim session Saturday morning, competing in the C final.
Tabahn Afrik posted a 43.32 second finish in the 100 fly as he took 16th in the event during the evening finals.
