A new investment group with ties to the University of Notre Dame is launching in the Chicago area, adding to the number of funding sources for local startups and entrepreneurs.
IrishAngels, which is aiming to make its first investment in the first half of 2013, has a 12-member board hailing mostly from the Chicago area and 50 confirmed members. Angel investors are individuals who back startups; many of them tend to be seasoned entrepreneurs themselves.
