University of Notre Dame women’s soccer sophomore Natalie Jacobs was selected to the Under-23 Women’s National Team roster on Friday for its camp in Seattle, Washington, from July 21-28.
Jacobs and the U-23 WNT topped Norway 3-0, tied England 0-0 and defeated Sweden 2-1 at the Women’s U-23 Four Nations Nordic Tournament in Sweden in June.
As part of the camp in July, the U-23 WNT will compete against the Seattle Sounders Women at 6 p.m. on July 24 at Husky Soccer Stadium at the University of Washington.
The U-23 WNT and the full U.S. Women’s National Team will train simultaneously in Seattle.
Jacobs and the U.S. U-20s fell to Korea DPR in extra time during the World Cup semifinal. Jacobs played all 91 minutes of the semifinal match and totaled three appearances on the tournament.
