COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Notre Dame guard Jordan Nixon will be packing her bags to Bangkok, Thailand, this summer. Following six trial sessions over four days that featured 30 athletes at the United States Olympic Training Center, the 2019 USA Basketball Women's U19 World Cup Team roster was finalized.
Nixon will be 1-of-12 pushing the red, white, and blue toward gold July 20-28. The roster is comprised of five team members who competed as freshmen for NCAA Division I programs this past season, three are from the high school class of 2019 and four will graduate high school in 2020.
Nixon was previously named to the 2018 USA Basketball U18 National Team back on May 28, 2018, but elected to travel with the Fighting Irish on their foreign tour to Italy and Croatia.
Last season, Nixon played in 26 contests, including three starts, averaging 14.5 minutes per game. Nixon averaged 2.5 points, scoring a career high of 12 points versus Western Kentucky, in which she went 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
