Kurey Named Women's Tennis Assistant Coach

NOTRE DAME, Indiana -- University of Notre Dame women's tennis coach Alison Silverio has named Megan Kurey an assistant coach for the Fighting Irish. Kurey comes to Notre Dame from Kansas State, where she served as an assistant coach.

"We are thrilled to welcome Megan to our Notre Dame family," said Silverio. "Megan is an exceptional person that brings excellent playing and professional experience to our program. She will bring a first-class character, an unparalleled work ethic and an ability to inspire and serve others. She truly embodies the values of our program at Notre Dame."

"It is an honor to be joining the Notre Dame family," Kurey said. "I am grateful to Coach Silverio for this incredible opportunity. I look forward to working alongside her to continue building a championship culture and developing our student-athletes on and off the court. Notre Dame is a truly special place and I am excited to represent the University and carry on the tradition of excellence."

Kurey's single season as an assistant at Kansas State saw her help the Wildcats to a Big 12 Quarterfinal appearance while Anna Turco was named an all-conference selection. In addition, three Wildcat players were named Academic All-Big 12 honorees.
