NEW LONDON, N.C. – The University of Notre Dame men's golf team returns to the Old North State Club in New London, North Carolina, for the 66th annual ACC Championships. The three-day, three-round tournament kicks off on Thursday, April 18.
Old North State Club is a 7,102-yard, par 72-course. Notre Dame will be paired with Virginia Tech and Boston College on Thursday.
The Irish will be going up against eight teams who are ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin Top 25, including No. 4 Wake Forest, No. 5 Duke, No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 16 Louisville, No. 18 Clemson, No. 23 North Carolina, No. 24 NC State and No. 25 Florida State.
In an effort to avoid the likelihood of inclement weather on Friday, the teams will now play the first and second rounds (36 holes) on Thursday, thus bypassing Friday.
Play begins on Thursday with each group teeing off at 7:30 a.m. The groups will not be repaired after between the first and second rounds as there will be continual play over 36 holes.
