It closed Oct. 21 for renovations and expansion.
And the Morris Inn is scheduled to reopen Aug. 29 in time for the first home football game at the University of Notre Dame, said David Harr, associate vice president for auxiliary services at the university.
Now, the $32 million renovation and expansion of the inn is possible, Harr said, because of donations from the Morris' daughter, Ernestine Raclin, her family and the Carmichael Foundation, along with several other benefactors.
