ND Students' Song Available for Download

University of Notre Dame | September 13, 2019

Two Notre Dame seniors, Jorge "Jay" Rivera-Herrans and Teagan Earley, debuted their song, "The Fighting Irish (of Notre Dame y'all)," on the Irish Dave & Christine Show (U93) Friday morning, September 13. The song is currently available for download on Amazon and Spotify, and will be available on all platforms in the coming weeks.

The song, written by Rivera-Herrans, reflects the origin behind the nickname "Fighting Irish" given to the University of Notre Dame. Rivera-Herrans sings about how the term was originally meant to be a slur, but Notre Dame took it as its mascot and ran with it. The song can be downloaded and listened to here.
