SOUTH BEND -- Area children have a new place to play when visiting the University of Notre Dame.
The university recently completed construction of a playground on part of the Irish Green, the park at the main entrance to campus. The play space is just east of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
Use of the playground is free and open to the general public, including South Bend-area families. The play space is open every day until dusk.
