Notre Dame men's lacrosse senior midfielder Sergio Perkovic has been named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week after he helped lead the Irish to an 11-10 overtime victory over Virginia on Saturday, March 18 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The award marks the fourth career ACC Offensive Player of the Week honor for Perkovic, who was tabbed by nearly every media outlet as a preseason first team All-American.

Perkovic tied for the team lead in goals in the overtime win over Virginia, scoring a season-high three times to lead the Irish to the victory. Perkovic now has 95 goals in his Irish career, the most in program history from a midfielder.

The senior has seen his name on a number of honors in the 2017 campaing. Perkovic has been named as a Senior CLASS Award nominee and has been selected to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The midfielder has also earned an Honorary ACC Postgraduate Scholarship, becoming the only lacrosse player to receive the distinction.

Over his four years at Notre Dame the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, native has been a standout both on and off the field for the Irish. Perkovic earned first team All-American honors in each of the last two years on the team. As a junior (2016), he was named to the All-ACC Team and All-ACC Academic Team.

Perkovic led the Irish to an appearance in the NCAA Championship final (2014), the NCAA Championship semifinals (2015) and NCAA Championship quarterfinals (2016) as well as the 2014 ACC Tournament title. He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in 2014 and 2015. The senior is also a two-time All-ACC selection (2015, 2016).
