Music is a part of any athlete's routine leading up to a big game — in the locker room, on the bus, at the gym and so on. It's a natural fit then that the University of Notre Dame wants fans to get in on that experience with a series of hand-picked playlists for music-streaming service Spotify.
Although team marching bands and a cappella groups have had a presence on Spotify before, this the first time a collegiate athletics department has joined forces with the streaming platform. The move is a part of an effort to get fans and even player recruits more pumped up about the school's teams.
