Shakespeare for South Bend Students

While studying with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Birmingham, England, Christy Burgess kept thinking: "I can use this."

Burgess is the Shakespeare outreach program director at the Robinson Community Learning Center, an off-campus education initiative sponsored by Notre Dame and South Bend.

By applying her Shakespeare experience to her instruction in the Robinson Shakespeare Company, she can help young students in South Bend build skills in writing, acting, and reading comprehension skills.

And, of course, they have a little fun in the process.
