The Notre Dame men's lacrosse program had six players earn preseason All-America recognition from Inside Lacrosse, as part of the 2017 Face-Off Yearbook. The Irish trio of senior midfielder Sergio Perkovic, senior defender Garrett Epple and senior goalie Shane Doss all received first team status. Notre Dame is one of three teams to place three student-athletes on the first team.
Other Irish players to garner recognition heading into the 2017 season are sophomore attackman Ryder Garnsey (third team), junior long-stick midfielder John Sexton (third team) and junior attackman Mikey Wynne (honorable mention).
Perkovic is coming off back-to-back United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/Nike All-America first team honors heading into his senior campaign. Sexton and Doss merited third team recognition from the organization last spring following the season.
The 2016 campaign marked the 12th consecutive season Notre Dame produced multiple USILA All-America selections. In 28 seasons under head coach Kevin Corrigan, the Irish have had 40 different players earn 75 All-America citations.
