Feeney's time in the 400m raised his school record after previously setting the standard (46.55) at the 2012 Alex Wilson Invitational.

For Notre Dame’s own Rebecca Tracy and Patrick Feeney, the races last Saturday at the Meyo Invitational were some of the most exciting of their careers.

Tracy, a senior, won the central event of the meet, the Meyo Mile with a time of 4:39.52. In a dramatic surge, Tracy took control of the race when she heard the bell ring with one lap to go and out-sprinted competitors down the last stretch.

Feeney, a junior, participated in the 4x400m relay, but it was his standout performance in the 400m dash that had people buzzing.
