Walter Jean-Jacques, a second-year student at Notre Dame Law School, has been selected as a student member of the Equal Justice Works Board of Directors.
Equal Justice Works is a nonprofit organization that brings together an extensive network of law students, lawyers, legal services organizations, and supporters to promote a lifelong commitment to public service and equal justice.
Jean-Jacques currently serves on the Equal Justice Works National Advisory Committee, representing the Midwest region. During the Equal Justice Works conference and career fair in October, Jean-Jacques served as a student panelist during the Student Advocacy Summit.
At Notre Dame Law School, Jean-Jacques is president of the Black Law Students Association and is active in the Notre Dame Exoneration Project, the Galilee program, and the National Lawyers Guild.
